Today I’m explaining the difference between content creation and lead generation.
Lead generation is putting yourself in front of your ideal client. This can be done virtually, in person, or by word of mouth.
Content creation is what you do when you already have people in your audience, and you need something to say to them.
You need people for content creation, it is only effective when people are around to consume your content.
I would actually rather you have lots of people looking at bad content than no one looking at perfect content. Because we can fix bad content! But if you have no one looking you will never make a sale.
The most important thing is to always have leads coming in. Here are 3 strategies I used for effective lead generation:
And trust me, none of this has to take a lot of time! If you are already spending 30 minutes a day on content creation, use that same 30 minutes for lead generation instead.
You see a much bigger payoff for your time when you focus on lead generation first.
