Today I’m talking about what you can do when life gives you a hardship that you didn’t expect.

I explain my chronic illness and share how it has affected my life and business.

In spite of my condition, I’ve still had my most successful year yet in business. So I want to share with you the lessons I’ve learned along the way.

• Separate life problems from business problems

Keep issues separate so that you don’t blame your business for things happening in your life.

• You can make money while still having things happen in your life

Just because things come up, that doesn’t mean you can’t achieve business success.

• Keep your commitments to things you enjoy

You may want to avoid certain things, but keep doing the things you like as a distraction and connection to normalcy.

• Understand your new 100%

Learn to adjust the expectations you place on yourself and how you manage your time and energy.

Ultimately, I am extremely grateful that I’m an entrepreneur. It means I have the time and money to do what I need to do for my health.

And this experience has shown me that we don’t have to pretend that everything is perfect. We can be a full human and still get the results that we want.
